Correct
Very few places left open in off season, but went here for breakfast this morning. Loved it! Really sweet waitress. Very quaint and charming restaurant. Food was delicious and my eggs were cooked exactly how I like them. Good coffee. Word to the wise, can’t pay with credit card, cash only.
Very well maintained area. Employees are actively enthusiastic about making sure you have a great experience!
Good prices, wide variety of menu options, great service
We had breakfast. Great staff. Delicious food.
Good food, decent prices, friendly servers. Bacon was a little bit burnt. Caramel roll was just okay. French Toast was wonderful! Overall, enjoyed it.
Horrible. Waited an hour for our order. Never got it. Told they were out of rolls only to see a table seated 45 min later got them. Walked out and spoke to the owner for him to say we weren't there an hour. Says people had easier orders. That's not what you say. He didn't care.
Beth and Kevin are amazing cooks. We had a great breakfast as always
Great great breakfast. And a great price
A bit slow when they are busy, but good buffelo burger.
Nice local place, good breakfast, good people
The French toast was very good. This place was busy and we we're lucky to get a table from someone just leaving. I suggest going early. Waitresses were very friendly.
Loved the Cowboy feel inside. Good service and a nice Buffalo Burger.
A small, but quaint Cafe. Staff members were friendly, and the place seemed popular. The food was excellent.
The best homecoming in the badlands area, by a family deeply imbedded in its ranch history. The cafe walls are covered with photos and memorabilia of area ranches and rodeo stars. Booths bare brands of local ranches. Good food here served by special people. Cowboy Cafe is a long standing tradition. Don’t miss it!
Food was pretty good. Their tomato macaroni soup is THE BEST THING EVER!! When the lady first said that was the soup of the day it isn't sound too good until I asked what was in it. And so yummy!! Hubbys hot beef sandwich was good too. My food was good except my country fried steak was over cooked. They charge for refills so be cautious of that! (Didn't know that until we got the bill)!
Good food, service was a little slow, good food❣
Loved it🏅
Wish I could give it No stars. Took 20 minutes.to order. After an hour still no food. Order.was.not.placed. worst service ever. Don't go there if your hungry or have a time line.
Great food!
Very helpful and accommodating staff. Good food. Generous portions.
Food is decent. Kids liked the burgers. I would skip the Hot Beef. Major issue with inability to take credit cards. Cash or Check only! Service was suboptimal- we got 2 napkins and 2 sets of silverware for 6 people. Staff not very attentive. Convenient location in Medora but pretty divey- which is cool if you like that sort of thing.
Cowboy Cafe always has excellent food and service.
Cozy little place, only had breakfast. Food was good, but it's a very small menu to choose from
Home cooking. Great staff
The food was okay. I liked the atmosphere of a small restaurant with old-time decorations but there are some serious concerns about the sanitary aspect of this place. The waitress grabbed ice from the ice chest using the cup as a scoop, meaning her bare hands touched the ice as she scooped it out. There was a scoop not even 5 inches to the left of the ice chest and instead of using that and following health codes, she proceeded to use bare hands to grab the ice for my drink. Not exactly pleased with my experience and I would recommend checking out somewhere else where sanitation is a priority...
Family-friendly. Nice local place, no long waiting, food is fresh and tasty.
Good food. Friendly people. Great pictures!
Fastest place to eat in Medora. Food is pretty classic for a diner and is definitely affordable. Would definitely visit again if I ever return to Medora.
Fabulous food, reasonable prices and a homey atmosphere! Will definitely be back!
Agree with previous post, very unsanitary, carpet was simply put, gross, paid 32.00 for 2 frozen burgers with fries and pop. Service was slow and did not have answers to questions. Only take cash!
Very friendly place! Great food as well! I appreciated the tips on where to find wildlife to photograph!
Awesome food quick and reasonable price
Good food, good service
Good wasn't bad
Too expensive for quality of food.
Great homemade food and good friendly staff
First off this places dose not accept credit cards, which does not make sense for a tourist town. We arrived before 11 for breakfast, but had to find an ATM to get cash. The waitress gave us very poor instructions to the ATM. When we came back it was just after 11. On the menu it says "breakfast until 11, or whenever Frank calls swich." We asked if we could order breakfast, but they refused. We decided to stay and order lunch (mistake). The serves was poor and the food was worse. I believe the only was this places stays in business is because of the limited food choices in Medora. Do not waste your time or money on this place.
Food great. Best burger but service sucks
Best breakfeast of Medora.
Food was good, staff is young but helpful. They only take cash. Had the pancakes, would recommend.
Taste your waffle before using syrup. It's very sweet and filling. My favorite was the french toast.
Fair price and a great home prepared meal
We choose to do the cowboy cookout instead of the steak fondue. Both are in the same location, just depends on what line you go through. I was with my husband and we both thought it was well worth the money. The chicken was seasoned very well and fall off of the bones tender, the ribs were tender and most with a pleasant BBQ sauce on top, the Buffalo roast was the star of the trio. You couldn't have asked for a more tender piece of meat with lots of flavor and juciness. The sides were baked beans (could have been cooked longer and have more seasoning), the coleslaw required more seasoning as well but the baked potato was shot on. For dessert they offered mini doughnuts and a brownie. There is live entertainment in the beginning. Overall a nice experience and a great opportunity to walk away with new friends you have met.
Good good..nice atmosphere..good service too
Good food, good coffee, friendly and efficient staff. Be aware that they are only open from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Also they do not accept debit or credit cards.
Love this cafe. It looks like the last reviewer isn't happy at any place he eats! This cafe has been run by the same people all of my life. You cannot go wrong at the Cowboy cafe!
Very slow service and soup was not hot
Too few staff for the amount of people they get. Slow for coffee refills. Somewhat over priced for what you get but for Medora this is the only choice.
Food was fantastic! Staff were respectful and responded to all our needs. This is a Medora favorite.
Very good food and very good service, but this place has some sanitary issues.
